Maximize Resource Efficiency with the OptiShare Switch
OptiShare switches enable one-to-many optical device sharing with duplex connectivity, designed to deliver no-latency, protocol-agnostic performance. They enable test engineers, developers, and automation systems to share a single expensive optical device across multiple other devices. This eliminates the need for redundant equipment and simplifies automation, significantly reducing capital expenses while maximizing resource utilization. Unlike traditional O-E-O (Optical-Electrical-Optical) devices that require costly transceivers for each speed, protocol, or port, OptiShare switches provide transparent Layer-1 optical connectivity, ensuring seamless operation across diverse setups.
The transparent and broadband connectivity enables seamless compatibility with protocols such as OTN, DWDM, FTTx, Fibre Channel, Ethernet, and SONET/SDH, while supporting speed upto 1.6T without introducing latency or signal conversions. Operating at the physical optical layer, the switch ensures accurate testing from the physical to protocol layers, eliminating variability and latency caused by conversion. This makes it an ideal solution for test labs, production automation, and development environments.
Applications
- Resource Sharing: Share expensive equipment such as BERT analyzers, protocol analyzers, and high-speed line cards across multiple devices under test (DUTs).
- AI Scale-Out Network Testing: Share 800G and 1.6T optical resources used in AI scale-out fabrics, including DR8 (requires multiple units) and FR8 / 2xFR4 interfaces (with single unit), across multiple switches, line cards, and DUTs for validation, interoperability testing, and production automation.
- Cost Optimization: Reduce the need for redundant high-cost optical equipment by enabling time-sharing and dynamic reconfiguration.
- Production & Test Environments: Support high-speed Ethernet, InfiniBand, and OTN links, including 100G, 400G, 800G, and emerging 1.6T applications.
